Go back to your dialogue and look at what you ordered. Write up the bill for your meal, including all the food and drinks you had and the price. In the USA, waiters and waitresses are paid very little in their basic salary, as the service is not included in the price of the food. So you need to add a tip to the total. Show your result to your teacher.
How much do you need to tip? Here's a rough guide: Minimum tip: 15% (it was ok, but not more). You can tip up to 20% if the service was good.
